Lisbon is hilly. In the city, there are signs that say “Miradouro.” These are scenic overlooks that offer up panoramic views. Especially on crisp sunny days like the ones I was fortunate enough to experience while I was there. Not too hot. Very few clouds. Perfect for seeing the sights.

On the second full day of my time in Lisbon, I created a little game for myself: Map most of the Miradouro sites on Google, connect them with walks and get to as many as I could in a day before I got too worn out. Fortunately, there were cafes and benches along the route.
As it turns out, I was able to see nine of these sites and walk a little over five miles (I actually missed a couple I wish I had added). There were a lot of uphill climbs and downhill jogs. And more than a few stairways. Check out the map and the different sites I captured below.

This was good exercise.
